Rice is the main food consumed around the world. It is predicted that rice production will hit the record increase in 2012 leaving the price of rice to fall. Top rice producer; Asia is set for a three percent gain in production to 653 million tons this year. 2012 has proved to be a great year for this country as the first 6 months production has exceeded the predicted results of government. They are predicting that they will be self-sufficient by 2013.
