1. 101 Dalmatians
It was released in 1961 by Disney. The treacherous and dog-hating Cruella de Vil and her nasty henchmen kidnap Dalmatian puppies for their exotic spotted fur. Puppies’ parents, Pongo and Perdita, and some brave farm animals, free the caged canines. It has a simple story, cute puppies, a good storyline and that’s why kids simply love it.
2. Bugs Life
It was released in 1998 by Buena Vista Pictures. A Bug’s Life gives a close up view of a colony of ants and their routine and their problems and how they with unity and fists raised faces them, when they are threatened by a gang of grass hoppers led by the evil Hopper. The storyline manages to express the value the life – even for bugs.
3. A Christmas Story
It was released in 1983 by Warner Home Entertainment. It is a modern classic that celebrates the holidays through the eyes of a 9-year-old Ralph who wants only one thing for Christmas – rifle with a compass in the stock! Along the way, he runs into opposition from his parents, his teacher, a pair of neighborhood bullies and even good ‘old Santa Claus himself. An interesting movie, which is an all time favorite.
4. A little Princess
It was released in 1995 by Warner Bros. It is a film based on a book by Frances Hodgson Burnett about 7 years old Sara Crewe, who lost his father and faces troubles after his immediate death. Now penniless and an orphan, Sara manages through the pain and troubles all through her own a tremendous fable with a very good moral; never give up.
5. Aleekah and the Bee
It was released in 2006 by Lion Gate. A heartwarming film about how dedication and drive pay off for a young girl. Eleven year-old Akeelah Anderson’s life is not easy but still manages it with her strength.
It was the Best Animated Film in 1992 and it continues to be a winner. Aladdin is a street-urchin who lives in a large and busy town long ago with his faithful monkey friend Abu. The concept of a magic lamp and a genie emanated from this movie. Aladdin is this and more.
7. Alice in the Wonderland
It was released in 1951 by Disney. A classic Disney animated adaptation of Louis Carrol’s books Alice’s adventures In Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. She chases a white rabbit and into its burrow and enters the merry, topsy-turvy world of Wonderland!
8. Finding Nemo
Released in 2003, this movie is a winner on all sea levels. It has many hilarious scenes as the scene in which Dory attempts to speak to whale in order to get directions. From the colorful sea critters to the coral reef to the expansive ocean, a funny and touching father- son adventure is something the whole family can enjoy over and over again.
9. An American Tale
It was released in 1986 by Disney. It is a story of a young Russian mouse coming to America in the late 1800s. Young Fievel is separated from his family upon his arrival in New York City and experiences whole new great discoveries.
10. Beauty and the beast
It was released in 1991 by Disney. It is one of the best known of the studio’s films and depicts on the timeless children’s fairy tale about a beautiful woman kept in a castle by a horrific monster. A pleasure to watch every time.
